My Frantic Mother Called the Police

When I was three, my mother, along with the police she had alerted, searched for me in our house, our yard, our neighborhood, and the lake area down the street.

I was hiding in a kitchen cabinet.

A few years later, my kindergarten teacher told her that I sat under the table for most of each day and would probably have a hard time making friends.

In the 5th grade, I spent as much time as possible in the nurse’s office, although there was nothing wrong with me.

I survived high school by becoming a chameleon and college, an underperforming party girl.

When my first job offered me a huge opportunity that required leaving for three weeks, Paul (my now husband and then boyfriend) practically had to force me on the plane.

My life was completely ruled by fear and worry.

I excelled at relationships though.

I got married, had kids, and got comfy being the girl who did anything anyone needed. I was good at it.

It was around my 41st birthday when I realized I had no idea who I was. I'd been hiding from myself for my entire life.

At 55, I have 2 successful businesses, I speak on large stages, and have had a podcast with over 2 million downloads.

I still excel at relationships.

Only now, I know who I am.
I love my whole life.
And I truly look forward to each and every day.

I hope my point is clear.

If I can find that,
ABSOLUTELY
ANYONE
CAN.

What are you waiting for?
